Beach Impeach I took place at Ocean Beach in San Francisco on January 6, 2007, two days after Nancy Pelosi became Speaker of the US House of Represenatives. One thousand people participated. (Click here for more information.)
Beach Impeach II took place at Ocean Beach again, on April 28, 2007 and attracted 1,500 people. (Click here for more information.)
Beach Imeach III will take place on Saturday, Sept 15, 2007, at Crissy Field in San Francisco. Crissy Field is a former airstrip that has been turned into a sprawling green meadow. The Golden Gate Bridge is just half-a-mile away and looms above the meadow like a giant, theatrical backdrop. The permit for Beach Impeach III allows for 3,000 people.
Beach Impeach IV took place at Cesar E. Chavez Park in Berkeley, CA, on October 7, 2007 and attracted around 1,000 people. (Click here for more information.)
Beach Impeach V took place at Ocean Beach, San Francisco, on April 26, 2008 and around 250 people took part - overcoming very difficult scheduling issues. We had hoped for a larger crowd, but a wonderful action with a few hundred enthusiastic participants still resulted. It meant that we had to make the letters one at a time. But our photo experts put it all together for us and we were still able to spell out IMPEACH BOTH!! (Click here for more information.)
